At WOW HVAC, we help people with many aspects of managing their air conditioning (AC) unit. We know how important an AC unit is for quality of life removing allergens from the air and also just generally keeping everyone at home in high spirits. That being said, we also know that AC units need to be looked after. Without maintenance and regular care, your AC unit is likely to suffer from a lack of efficiency and an increased risk of not working to the level that you need and require.
Many people will forego maintenance on their AC unit for years, and this leads to a massive build-up of dirt, debris, and mess. This makes it harder for their homes to be cooled as they require, with the elements of the AC unit no longer working as expected.
To help your AC unit run at full capacity, we ask that you consider undergoing an AC tune-up to help make sure it is running at 100% of operational capacity. Otherwise, you can find that your quality of life is generally reduced, while your investment and property value will be reduced thanks to your home no longer being efficient as it should be.

Filters. One of the first parts of the process we will look at is your AC filter. Filters are usually one of the first parts to begin to stop working as intended. A clogged filter will be found during our AC tune-up, and we will help to clean out the mess and get your AC unit working just as you would have expected.
Dirty filters halt airflow and you can see that your energy consumption increases despite efficiency coming down. We can help you to stop that by replacing filters in an AC tune-up to catch the problem at hand. Central air conditioners will usually be found along the length of the duct; we’ll look around to help find the filter, repair it, clean it or replace it if we feel this is the best course of action.
Coils. Another major part of your AC unit is the coils and evaporation systems. This is what helps to add that extra layer of quality of life and comfort into your home. During an AC tune-up, we will look for common errors and faults with your AC unit and replace it or repair it. Coils need to be fully operational, so we will make sure that the coil is as clear as possible so it can absorb in as much of the heat as they can.
An annual check of your evaporator coil is essential, ensuring that it can be used properly without a drop-off in performance. We ask that you try to minimize as much dirt and debris around coils and condenser units if you can. Try and remove any foliage and debris around the coil, or contact us and we’ll do so as part of our AC tune-up.
Fins and Drains. These two minor components often become bent, broken, and damaged over time and will need to be repaired and/or replaced. We can help you to do so, carrying out full checks of your coil fins and drains to ensure they are at the level you would expect.
